The main aim of a Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference is to reduce the risk of serious harm to high-risk victims and his/her children by sharing the relevant and appropriate information.
The purpose of a Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference
- Increase the safety, health & well-being of victims – adults & children.
- Determine whether the perpetrator poses significant risk to any individual or to the general community.
- Construct jointly & implement a risk management plan providing professional support to all those at risk.
- Reduce risk of harm & to reduce repeat victimisation.
- Improve agency accountability.
- Improve support for staff involved in high risk domestic abuse cases.
Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference meeting dates
Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences are held once a month in 5 different areas of the county. The meetings are chaired by Hertfordshire’s Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference manager, who is placed within the Constabulary’s Domestic Abuse Investigation and Safeguarding Unit and are attended by the key agencies within the area who are signed up to the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference operating and information sharing protocols.

All statutory and non-statutory agencies who are signed up can refer victims to Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference provided a full risk assessment (DASH – Domestic Abuse, Stalking, Harassment and Honour Based Abuse) has been completed along with the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference referral form.
If you need advice about completing the risk assessment please contact an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor or a Domestic Abuse Officer. The completed form should be emailed to the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference Team.
